WOMEN'S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER

As usual the Women's World Day of Prayer will take place on the first Friday in March. This year the service is prepared by the Christian women of Madagascar, and the theme will be Who is my Neighbour?

Madagascar, the third largest island in the world is to be found in the Indian Ocean off the east coast of Africa. A country of natural beauty, it is known as the Great Red Island because of its rich red soil. Approximately 12.5 million people live on the island and they speak Malagasy but their second language is French.

So please join us at Purbrook Methodist Church Stakes Road on March 6th at 2.pm. (Car parking in Ladybridge Road) and at Portsdown Christ Church, Widley at 8.pm. Refreshments will follow. Please contact Pam Dinneen or Pat Winter to arrange car lifts. All welcome.
