POUNDS, SHILLINGS AND PENCE

Here's a little puzzle for those who remember what real money was. You know, pounds, shillings and pence. The coins we used when LSD was a good thing to have. But can you remember what we called them - apart from pennies and shillings. If you can, try this little sum. All you have to do is substitute pre-decimal currency for each clue, and they should add up to the total given.

1. A bicycle

2. A man's name

3. A singer

4. A kind of pig

5. A stone
