WOMEN'S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER

St George's Church will be hosting this year's Women's World Day of Prayer, which takes place on Friday 5th March at 2.30.pm and will be followed by refreshments in the Church Hall.

The theme for the day is 'God's Tender Touch' and the service has been prepared by Christian women of Venezuela. The speaker at St George's will be a nurse who has worked at Bordean house.

Venezuela is a South American country bordering the Caribbean Sea with Columbia to the west and Brazil to the south and east. It is a country of contrasts with beaches, rivers, forests and mountains. There are almost thirty million inhabitants of whom 90% live in urban areas. The capital is Caracas and Spanish is the spoken language. The official religion is Catholicism.

We welcome all ladies (and men) to this very special annual event.
