FINANCIAL UPDATE

Income once again this year has been very much down during August and early September and I had to use £1500 from reserves to meet August's Quota payment of £2940. Recent interest deposits from our various accounts totalling £260 were therefore most welcome and it is at these times of the year that the Treasurer ensures monies for votive candles £78.58 and bookstall sales £164.27 are counted and banked to ease the cashflow position. For instance our monthly standing order for electricity alone is £79, Millennium Candles for use at services have been purchased at a cost of £58.29 and stocks of paper for the photocopier replenished at a substantial discount offer rate of £141.72. Videos for use at the Alpha Course being run by Winifred Mancz on Monday evenings cost £89.95.

A collection at a wedding on 11 September realised £73.51 for general church funds and the retiring collection for the Rowans Hospice during August amounted to £125.49.
