LETTER FROM RUTH LOVEMAN

Ruth Loveman

Dear Friends,

As Fr Malcolm said at the recent A.C.M., over the past 2 years I have been carefully and prayerfully considering the future direction of my pilgrimage through life. After much thought and discussion and with the help of Fr Malcolm I have recently asked to be considered as a candidate for ordination to non-stipendiary ministry.

As I have worshipped at St George's all my life I now feel that it would be beneficial for me to experience something of the wide variety of worship offered by the Church of England. This will help me as I try to discern, together with the Church, what is God's will for me.

Clearly this means that I will be unable to worship regularly at St George's but I hope that I will still be able to keep in contact with you all from time to time. I have a wealth of very happy memories of my time with you all. I want to make it very clear that this is my own decision and that at no time has Fr Malcolm suggested that I leave. He has given me much help and we remain friends even if our views differ on many things.

I have both feelings of sadness in leaving, and excitement at what the future holds for me and would ask that you keep me in your prayers, as I will hold all of you in mine. With love,

Ruth Loveman
