CANAL BOAT HOLIDAY

We left Adelaide Dock at about 2 o'clock
And went off down the canal in a boat.
There was Sarah Tash and Joe Kaylie Tim and Chlo,
Jess, Lara Chris Claire Mich and me.

We stopped at Sainsburys to shop
And then Bethan used the mop.
We all ate chilli and bread for tea.
Next day we got up at 8 but me and Mich were late.

Joe fell in the water and Kaylie said we oughta
Fish him out or he might drown.
So Kaylie ran out with no shoes
And we listened to Bloodsucker Blues.

Tony Richard and Jane drank beer again and again.
Then it started to rain
Which was a very great shame.

Next a bridge jumped up and hit Tash
Who fell to the floor with a crash.
The flump had a bump on her head
So Jane made her sweet tea in bed.
Then she smiled and said she felt better.

Chris fell off the bunk with a gigantic great thump
And muffin fell out of his mouth
He hit his knee and yelled; Why me
And his Dad took him home for tea.

Tim did lots of working the locks
He fell in the water too and looked really blue
It was very cold but he soon recovered.

We all had great fun and everything got done
We will come again next year
And we will all be drinking beer.

(poetic licence only!!)
