SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE NEEDS YOUR OLD PHONE!

If you thought your old mobile was useless, think again. WaterAid, which provides safe domestic water, sanitation and hygiene promotion to the world's poorest people, is appealing for donations of old mobile phones and batteries. Mobile phones contain potentially dangerous substances such as cadmium and most end up in landfill sites. Yet the charity can organise the regeneration of some phones for second users, whilst others that are beyond repair can contain useful materials for recycling.

If you have an old mobile phone and don't know what to do with it, you can leave it at St George's Church where it will be passed on to WaterAid. For further information contact 023 9226 3696.
