CHURCH ARMY COFFEE MORNING

For many of us the idea of mission and missionaries is of something that takes place overseas. However, the decline in church attendance in this country has led to a generation of people without a basic understanding of the Christian Faith and Britain has been identified as one of the least religious countries in the Western World. Church Army feels that it now needs to invest more of its resources in "Mission at Home".

They receive no central funding to finance their training for three years. Since 1997 Evangelists in training have been asked to raise a minimum of £6,000 per annum towards this cost. So not only have they had to leave behind past employment, home and friends, they also have to share the responsibility of financing their training. Last year we raised £154.06 to help them. Perhaps we can do even better this year.

Please try to come along to the Coffee Morning at the Vicarage on 21st September.
