JUBILEE DEBT CAMPAIGN

Petition to The Queen

By August 15th over 62,000 signatures had been received from Jubilee Debt Campaign groups and member organisations. The Mothers' Union had collected over 42,000 signatures, many of which have been provided by their members in Commonwealth countries. The branch at Agona Kwanyaku, Secondi Diocese, Ghana, (with whom our St George's Mothers' Union branch is linked) prayed all night from 8.pm to 4.am and produced 500 signatures alone. Members of the MU will be privileged to present the Petitions to the Queen, or Princess Anne, before the end of the Jubilee Year.
