PCC Matters

At the PCC meeting on 6th May, Mr Spurgeon (Chairman) highlighted the need to appoint successors to the Treasurer and the Secretary, who wish to stand down at the APCM in 2005, in time for there to be a handover period. If anyone is interested in either of these posts, could he or she please contact the post-holder or a Churchwarden for more information.

The PCC agreed to the installation of a burglar alarm system and a telecommunication system at the new Vicarage, and volunteers will be invited to help with the decoration of some areas.

Mr Spurgeon, Mrs Burton and Mrs Symonds had attended a Kairos "train the trainers" event at Cathedral House and study groups will now be set up to cover six theological themes by July.

Arrangements for the reception after Father Mike's Collation and Induction on 16th July are in hand, and on his first Sunday, 18th July, there will be a barbecue lunch.

The next PCC meeting will be on Thursday 24th June 2004.

Copies of the full minutes are displayed at the back of church.

Jaye Warren
Hon. Secretary to the PCC
