Financial Update

Just a short resumé from me this month. Outgoings included organ tune £106.34, Bazaar raffle ticket printing £44, Christian Copyright Licensing licence to allow us to reproduce words only of hymns and songs on service sheets £88, and photocopying paper £133.43.

The October retiring collection realised £134.88 for the Church Army and a further £50 was added from the Wednesday coffee morning charity monies. This fund also contributed £50 to the Royal British Legion, in the absence of a Remembrance Day Service at St George's this year, and £50 to the Mothers' Union Holiday Scheme.

Flower bulb sales have raised another £260 for church funds and nearly 50 church diaries have been sold already. Why not buy a few extra ones as stocking fillers for friends and family for Christmas.

The PCC has decided to close the parish loan scheme at the end of the third year and investments are currently being sold to repay the remaining five thousand pounds worth of loans.

Wearing my other hat as the Bible Reading Fellowship contact at St George's, if anyone would like to subscribe to the BRF daily notes I can easily arrange this. The current group subscription rate is £3.15 per copy, three times a year. I can provide sample copies - just ask!

Wishing you all a very happy Christmas.

Honorary Treasurer to the PCC
