Financial Update

By the time you read this article the APCM will have taken place with the newly elected PCC due to meet for the first time on April 26th.

Two Deanery Synod representatives also serve on the PCC and the necessary capitation fees for them and Father Mike of £60 have been paid to Havant deanery. The quarterly photocopier charge was £137.20 and the annual Phonographic Performance Limited licence £143. Raffle ticket printing for the May Fayre on Saturday May 21st cost £44.

Income from advertising in the St George's News has reached £346 so far this year and interest from investments £40.76. The Bishop's Lent Appeal raised £241.57 of which £45 was gift aided.

May I also remind you that the Church is registered for gift aid purposes under the Give as You Earn Scheme - Carol McKells has all the details.

And as I stand down after eight years as Treasurer I conclude by thanking Carol McKells for taking on the treasurer's job and I wish her well with the duties as the accounts are computerised.

I remain the Bible Reading Fellowship representative and the Parish Contact Person for Legacies at St George's - leaflets available at the back of the church.
