To start this Update, I must first put right an error in the Summer edition, where it appears that the new Corporals were purchased from Church funds. In fact these were kindly paid for by Jennefer Higginbottom. My apologies to Jennefer. June's outgoings were relatively low, the main expenditure being the Parish Share. Incoming funds were boosted by £648.96 from investment income and plant sales of £185. In July, outgoings were for the Parish Share and also fees due to the Diocese of £510. We have had a number of Baptisms, Marriage Banns and Weddings booked which have obviously generated income and, in turn, part of this income is passed onto the Diocese. The Children's Service books cost £46.74 (kindly paid for by a donor). Incoming funds for July included a refund of £324.60 from Southern Electricity, for which I thank Linda Wainwright as she dealt with this, and £100 was very kindly donated by the niece of Archie Dudley. Retiring Collections: June - St. Mary Axim - £90.95 July - Mission to Seamen - £128.49 Wednesday Coffee Morning collections thankfully continue and we are in the process of choosing another Charity to make a donation from the Church. If any more information is required, please feel free to ask and I will endeavour to help. Alternatively, a Finance Report is posted on the Notice Board prior to PCC Meetings, where more information can be found. Carol McKells |
