Badge to make...

To make this badge you will need:

 a piece of card
(you can cut it off an empty cereal box)

 scissors

 glue

 a small safety pin

 sellotape

 felt-tips

1. Colour the badge

2. Cut it out and glue it onto card.

3. Cut round the badge

4. Sellotape the safety pin onto back.

Note: The badges can be covered with self-adhesive plastic.

Make a Magnetic Beetle

You will need:

1. A shoe box lid or similar

2. A paper cup

3. Scissors

4. Sellotape

5. A small piece of plasticine or self-hardening clay (about 2 cm diam.)

6. A small nut or bolt, or short screw

7. A magnet

8. Felt-tip pens

 Turn lid upside down

 Cut a "doorway" in the rim of the cup. Turn it upside-down and tape it into one corner of the lid.

 Draw a winding narrow path to the paper cup.

 Decorate the way with flowers etc.

 Make a beetle with the plasticine or clay. Stick the metal piece into the base.

 With the beetle at the start of the path and holding the magnet beneath the lid, lead the beetle along the path to his home!
