St George's News Website

Our website now enters its twelfth year, the world’s longest running parish magazine on the internet. The first issue went ‘On-Line’ in a somewhat primitive format in March 1996, and was revamped the following year since when all issues have been archived and remain available to browse through. This wealth of material attracts many visitors searching for a wide range of subjects. The website is an important means of outreach that is underutilised at the moment. With the printed version of the magazine becoming less frequent, we want to raise the profile of the website and make it a resource that adds value to the magazine as a reference point between magazine issues.

Latest statistics show that in the South East of England 67% of households now have access to the Internet, and this figure is rising all the time. So we would like to make a big appeal to everyone and anyone who is at any time involved in Church publicity, producing leaflets or information sheets, any and every opportunity, please remember to include the website address!

We plan many improvements to the website over the coming year. The more people in Waterlooville who know about it, the more people will visit it and find out all about our church, and all the activities that are going on. And take a look for yourself - the weekly bulletin is there, the magazine photos are in colour, you can search through past issues, and lots more.
