Confirmation

St George’s Patronal Festival this year was enhanced by the privilege of hosting the Archdeaconry Confirmation Service.

Twenty-eight candidates from four local Churches were confirmed by Bishop Trevor of Basingstoke.

The many visitors joining the candidates resulted in a congregation of around 330, and the church packed to capacity. Following the service, food and wine were served in the hall and church grounds.

Among the candidates were ten children and young people from St George’s Church:
