featuring The Making of a Violin
with violinist Becky Hill, Musical director of the Portsmouth Schools Music Festival.
The Nadina Quartet has been performing in the local area for 10 years and draws on a nucleus of 16 musicians. During the last two years the quartet has been asked to perform for numerous weddings and ceremonies; at the official functions for the Army and Royal Navy; and was a huest quartet during an “Arts in Residence” weekend led by Terry Barfoot.
The evening consists of Haydn ‘The Lark’ String Quartet Opus 64 No 5, which will be followed after the interval with a travel through musical history including a talk about the making of string instruments, and composers including Bach, Mazart and The Beatles!(The Nadina String Quartet are photographed below at last year's concert).
