BOHUSLAV SOSNA
International Concert Pianist
Bohnuslav Sosna was born in Nitra, Slovakia, and comes from a musical family. He began playing the piano at the age of 8 and studied at the Music Conservatory in Topolcany, Slovakia, later graduating from the University of Constantine the Philospher in Nitra. During his studies he won numerous prizes and awards both within Slovakia and Internationally. He was the first interpreter of Ivan Parik's work Theree songs for the piano and his performance of this piece at the Hommage and Park concert in April 2006 was broadcast by Slovak national radio.

GOSPORT & FAREHAM YOUTH ORCHESTRA
In the presence of The Mayor of Havant
The Orchestra, which was founded in 1955, attracts talented young musicians in the Gosport and Fareham area, who will be making their first appearance at the Waterlooville Music Festival this evening to perform a variety of well known orchestral pieces.

In 2007 he moved to the UK and is currently preparing for the advanced LRSM under Assistant Professor of Music Valentina Seferinova.
This lunchtime concert will consist of the following pieces:
Johann Sebastian Bach - Partita No 2 in C minor
Johannes Brahms - Rhapsody in B Minor Op 79 No 2
Ludwig van Beethoven - Sonata in D minor Op 31 No 2
Juraj Hatrik - Toccata
The concert will run for approximately 90 minutes including a 20 minute interval.
