Organ Recital: MICHAEL WYNNE,
Director of Music, St Mary's Priory, Warrington.
The recitalist and composer Michael Wynne will be presenting an organ recital this lunchtime. Born into a musical family, he studied at the Royal Academy before becoming senior organ scholar at Manchester Cathedral. He was appointed Director of Music at St Mary's Priory Warrington in 2002 having previously been Director of Music at St Mary of the Angels, Notting Hill. Michael has played at numerous major venues including Chester, Liverpool, Southwark and Westminster Cathedrals, Westminster Abbey, Bolton, Huddersfield and Warrington Town Halls, and St George's Hall Liverpool. Internationally he has toured Prague, Paris, Belgium, the Netherlands, Brussels and Venice. We are delighted to be welcoming Michael to the Waterlooville Music Festival this year.

Concert and Sing-a-long Gilbert and Sullivan
Havant Light Opera was founded in 1978 and is a flourishing group of around 40 vocalists specialising in Gilbert and Sullivan, presenting two productions each year at the Havant Arts Centre. Havant Light Opera's Summer 2009 production is Ruddigore (to be presented at Havant Arts Centre Tuesday 30th June to Saturday 4th July). Tonight's performance will feature "The Best of Ruddigore", and a selection from HMS Pinafore, followed in the second half by sing-along Pirates of Penzance.
