SARAH’S RAMBLE

Hello,

It's the 18th of June and I'm going on a nine mile walk, well I was now I'm going on a six mile walk, I'm too weak for nine he he. My feet are aching like anything. I've had a lovely can of coke though. The six-mile party has eleven people in it. It's good because that way it's not very busy while we're walking. It was really funny, Lara and Amy were saying "moo" to the cows continuously and they came to them both. Then there was a stampede of them running across the field; there's a long row of them standing on the edge of the woods ha ha. We're waiting for Amy now because she has my fan and we can't just leave her on her own, but it gives me time to sit down and have a rest. We're coming up to a checkpoint and there are only four of us now, me Amy, Andrew and Margaret. The other seven are in front of us. We've only walked four miles unfortunately but it seems like about five ½ miles. Uh oh, now we have to walk up a hill. I wonder where the others are? Ah here they are they were waiting for us, now we're all together, not for long though. Lara and me are waiting on the grass for Amy, Andrew and Margaret. Here they come now. Lara and me are saying "moo" to the cows again and they keep looking at usJ. Cool, we can see the train and they just said "that's the second time its come past." The rest of the party is back with us again now they waited for us again. Me, Lara, Andrew, Margaret, Amy and Candy this time are falling behind. Oh no! Amy's fallen behind again!! She must be tired. Gosh, the cows smell terrible round here. We saw a really sweet calf a minute ago. It's me and Lara again and the same people are behind us again and same people are in front of us again. We just walked past a dirty trough with water boatman insects (yuck) in, and some horses. There's no other people in front of us now that we can see anyway. THE CHECKPOINT! DRINKS! It's a miracle. Lara and me are hanging round together and now we're really happy to drink. I had some coke and some fizzy water. I didn't like the water much though. We went through a really, really tight passage a minute ago and I got stung on my knuckle, ow! But luckily Amy's mum had something to make it better in her first aid kit. Now we're going up a really steep hill, it's wearing me out. But Amy was being pulled along on the dog lead so Lara and me grabbed hold. We are now walking up a steep hill with a load of corn around and I mean lots. I'm on my own now, Lara and Amy are behind playing dogs with Lucky, Amy's dog's lead. And the others are ahead. Poor meL. This corn field is nearly finished, in fact it is. Phew! We're coming up to a long bush and we're going under it. Oh no the people who are walking 9 miles are catching up behind us. Another check point more drinks!!! This time the checkpoint is next to the Red Lion pub. We're with the nine milers now. Lara and Amy aren't playing dogs anymore they've sat down on the grass. I'm sitting with them now. I'm next to my friend Rachel and she just said to me "a friend who's gonna hit you on the head." Luckily she was joking. Ha ha Rachel! I just crossed the stony road and I'm sitting on the pavement outside the pub. Jane RO just got here with some friends in the back or are they relatives? The last four just came from the walk and are getting a drink. The pub is like a cottage probably because it's in the countryside. There are beautiful flower baskets here they have purple and white flowers in. Sue, Colin, Roz, Bill and Chrissie just got here they're doing two miles. It's now 5.05.pm and we're off for the last two miles. I wish we were in the shade, it's really sunny here. David just made me really cold with his ice pack but it was nice. I didn't have a drink at the last checkpoint, I couldn't be bothered, he he. But I have a whole bottle of drink in my bag still. We're with Nutmeg, Tony's dog, now as the nine milers are walking with us. I'm determined to keep up with the rest but I don't think it will happen because writing makes me slow down. Jane RO is in front of me and she's very brown. I haven't noticed how much I've fallen behind. Tony grazed his knee in the first fourteen yards of the walk he just told me. We are going through a load more corn now I'm getting fed up of corn now hopefully it will finish soon. Oh no Jessica just lost her bracelet luckily they found it, phew. Lucky's just come and ran off again. I'm running out of breath again and we've probably got about one and a ½ miles left. Wow look at this huge electric pylon right next to where I'm standing. I'm waiting for Lara as she's nearly here. I started with her so I guess I'll finish with her. Me and her are going to the front we're there! Yippee, the first time today. After running I'm extra tired. I did my task to beat Natasha though even if it was only for a minute. We've stopped and I'm sitting on the grass all tired out and now we're leaving again. Rachel said this would be easy at the start but now she is really tired. Me and Lara are falling behind again. Ok, bye Lara! She's run ahead and left me. I guess I won't finish with her.

We've finally finished, we're all really tired though. We can start the service and start the BBQ now. Hooray. Hopefully the burgers and hot dogs will be nice and they'll be enough for everyone. The service has just finished. It was a bit weird not being up in the choir though. The BBQ was great too, really tasty. There was enough for everyone. Me and Rachel were playing hand stands and running down the hill having a whale of a time. I had a battenburg cake, yum yum! We're leaving now, I had a great day, I wish we could stay longer but we can't. It was really fun. We're in the car driving out the park now oh well maybe we'll come again next year. Bye.
