An evening of summer music

PORTSMOUTH BAROQUE CHOIR
with

The Dolce Quartet

accompanied by

Oboe and Trumpet

Portsmouth Baroque Choir currently has approximately 25 members. It perform a wide repertoire of music from the late Renaissance period to works of contemporary composers, including several works which have been written especially for the choir. Many works are performed unaccompanied, but it especially enjoys singing when accompanied by an orchestra or string quartet.

For this concert, the Choir will be performing celebratory music by Handel, plus the ever popular Vivaldi “Gloria”; beautiful singing, a delightful string quartet, perfect for an entertaining summer evening enjoying a civilized glass of Pimms during the interval. (An interval drink from the licensed bar is included).
