The fifth Waterlooville Music Festival takes place from Saturday 12th to Sunday 20th June 2010. The festival is now firmly established as the major cultural event in the town and indeed the surrounding area, and its aim is to bring a wide range of music into the centre of Waterlooville for the whole community to enjoy. Once again, St George’s Church is the host venue for this week long celebration of music.

The opening Saturday brings hundreds of musicians at numerous locations throughout the town centre with “Market Place Music”, culminating in a “Top of the Pops Dance Band Special” with the acclaimed professional dance band Contrast and a licensed bar serving real ale. Monday brings Portsmouth Baroque Choir with a programme of popular American music including John Rutter’s ‘Feel the Spirit’. On Tuesday there is the award winning Havant Clarinet & Saxophone Choir II followed by the acclaimed soprano soloist Polly Burford and friends. On the Wednesday we welcome Hampshire’s leading male voice choir, the Hampshire Police Choir. Thursday is Guitar Night with Douce Ambiance & Hampshire Guitar Orchestra. On Friday we are joined by the Portsmouth Cathedral Choir. With around 50 concerts all together, taking place throughout the day and evening all week, Waterlooville Music Festival promises to be bigger and better than ever. Daytime concerts are free. Evening concerts £5 in advance, £6 on the door (Last Night of the Proms on Saturday 19th is sold out). Passport ticket for all concerts except Last Night of the Proms £25.
