We do hope you all enjoyed our Nativity Play just before Christmas, made extra special by the presence of two guests. Two-month-old Baby Connie took the role of a very smiley Baby Jesus and Jenny the donkey became the special donkey who ‘carried’ Mary to Bethlehem. The children ‘ told ‘ the story exceptionally well and we are very proud of them all. Credit too to Jess who wrote and produced the play.
Just to mention that no one is made to take part if, for whatever reason, they are not happy. Before rehearsals started, we asked parents/carers to check with their children as to whether they would like to participate and they all replied in the affirmative, some even requesting a few (or a lot!) of words.
At the time of writing this report, we are busy preparing for Mothering Sunday. The children have been making cards, gift bags, bracelets and also painting rainbow sun catcher wind chimes to give to their Mothers / Carers.
Looking towards Easter, we are pleased to report that Coby, one of the older boys, has designed the cover of the Easter edition of the Parish Magazine.
All children and young people in Sunday school will be given a colour in calendar of the events in Holy week.
